Repair to strip flooring, Hopwas Staffordshire

We were asked to restore an original redwood strip floor that has been uncovered when the existing carpet was removed.

The existing fire hearth was still visible, se we had to firstly remove that and apply a self levelling latex to ensure a level area.  Existing redwood strip flooring was then removed from areas around the perimeter of the room and refitted into the previous fire hearth.

New strip flooring was then refitted to the perimeter of the room and stained to as close a match as possible to ensure a consistent colour to the flooring.  A new step was then crafted on site and a new door bar installed.  The step and door was were also stained to match.

The whole floor area was then sanded and resealed using Bona Prime and Bona Mega floor lacquer
