A new parquet floor was required by Chivenor School in Castle Vale, Birmingham.

The existing floor was taken up, the existing screed sub-floor had a Bona R410 DPM applied and allowed to fully dry.  We then installed an oak 230 x 70mm parquet floor with a 2 block border to the hall.

Restoration of existing wood flooring – Hampton Lovett, Droitwich, Worcestershire

We were asked to fully sand and reseal a wood flooring in a stunning property in Hampton Lovett, Droitwich, Worcestershire to bring it back to looking its best .  The floor was sanded to bare wood and then sanded to a fine finish.  The floor then had a base coat of Bona Prime Classic applied followed by 3 top coats of Bona Traffic HD to give a beautiful and long lasting finish

Double Herringbone Parquet floor – Rowney Green, Worcestershire

Our client requested a double herringbone prime grade oak floor to be installed to the lounge.

The floor first had a Bona R410 epoxy DPM installed over the screed sub-floor.  The 230mm prime grade oak parquet blocks were then installed using Bona R848 adhesive, with the header line being installed first.  Once this was installed the rest of the 230mm parquet blocks where installed in a double herringbone pattern.

Birmingham University – 90mm Solid Oak Prefinished flooring

A solid wood floor was required to be installed at Birmingham University.  The flooring that was chosen was a 90mm solid oak pre-finished board and this was installed over the existing wood floor.

Our client requested 350mm prime grade oak parquet flooring for a number of downstairs rooms.  The blocks were installed to the existing concrete sub-floor flowing from room to room with no door bars or thresholds required. A 2 block border was installed around the perimeter of the rooms and the skirting was installed once the floor had been fully installed so it would hide the required expansion gap to leave a clean over all look

The existing floor at Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham required restoration along with a full sand and reseal.  There were existing areas of block flooring to re-fix, allow for new floor boxes to be fitted along with gaps to be filled between the blocks.  The floor was then sanded back to the bare wood and sealed with one base coat of Junckers primer and 3 top coats of Junckers HP Commercial water based floor lacquer

The existing floor was removed and an epoxy damp proof membrane was then applied prior to the parquet flooring being installed.  The blocks were then installed using a laser guide to ensure the straightness of the installation.  Once the flooring was installed along with a two block border, the floor was then sanded and finished with one base coat of Bona Prime Classic and two top coats of Bona Mega water based floor lacquer.

The floor required a number of repairs to the existing herringbone floor due to loose blocks and damage caused during the ongoing modernisation works taking place.  The loose blocks were carefully lifted out and the floor beneath them checked to remove any loose debris or previous adhesive before they were then re-fixed back into place using Bona adhesive.  The floor was then fully sanded to remove the previous finish

Sand and reseal of existing parquet herringbone block flooring at a school in Edgbaston.  The existing floor was sanded back to bear wood to remove the existing finish. It was then sanded to a fine finish before it was sealed with 1 base coat of Bona Prime Classic and 3 coats of Bona Traffic HD floor lacquer.
