Birmingham University – 90mm Solid Oak Prefinished flooring

A solid wood floor was required to be installed at Birmingham University.  The flooring that was chosen was a 90mm solid oak pre-finished board and this was installed over the existing wood floor.

Additional work was required to inlay the floor boxes and make a border for around the inset fireplace and hearth.  Additionally a scotia bead was installed around the perimeter of the floor over the expansion gap and we custom made door ramps to allow for the difference in ...

Parquet floor, Burbage, Leicestershire

Our client requested 350mm prime grade oak parquet flooring for a number of downstairs rooms.  The blocks were installed to the existing concrete sub-floor flowing from room to room with no door bars or thresholds required. A 2 block border was installed around the perimeter of the rooms and the skirting was installed once the floor had been fully installed so it would hide the required expansion gap to leave a clean over all look

Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham

The existing floor at Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham required restoration along with a full sand and reseal.  There were existing areas of block flooring to re-fix, allow for new floor boxes to be fitted along with gaps to be filled between the blocks.  The floor was then sanded back to the bare wood and sealed with one base coat of Junckers primer and 3 top coats of Junckers HP Commercial water based floor lacquer
