City of Birmingham Orchestra (CBSO) – Birmingham, West Midlands

Existing oak flooring at the City of Birmingham Orchestra needed to be restored, with a couple of small repairs. 2 studios needed to be completed first to allow for use later in the week, with the main hall to be completed last.

Junckers Floor Installation – Edgbaston, Birmingham

A new Junckers Sylvasport Premium solid beech floor over Blubat battens was required to be installed as per the schools specification.

We supplied and installed firstly a Sylvathene moisture barrier followed by the Blubat battens. The Sylvasport Premium flooring in beech was installed over the battens using secret mailing. The expansion gap was installed around the perimeter of the flooring as per Junckers recommendations.

St Paul’s Church, Great Barr Birmingham

We were contacted by St Paul’s Church, Great Barr to take up an existing water damaged wood floor and install a new replacement solid oak parquet block floor.

The original Iroko parquet block floor was removed and the existing floor had a self levelling latex and an epoxy dpm installed.

Maple Floor Anstice Club Madley, Telford, Shropshire

We were instructed by Andy at Madeley Town Council to undertake the renovation of the existing maple wood flooring in the Anstice Club in the centre of Madley.

14mm Engineered Boen Floor, Wordsley, Stourbridge

A Boen 14mm Oak Animoso with a White Live Natural Oil finish was chosen to be installed at the new museum in Wordsley, Stourbridge.

The existing sub-floor had an epoxy DPM applied (Bona R410), which was allowed to fully dry prior to the Boen engineered strip flooring being installed. The floor requires a finishing coat of White Live Natural Oil applied as a finishing coat prior to the museum opening, which will be in the very near future

Mosaic Finger Block Floor Repair – Ambergate, Derbyshire

Restoration and repair to a water damaged mosaic finger panel floor in Ambergate, Derbyshire.  the existing finger panel floor had suffered from water damage and the individual finger blocks had come loose under the carpet tiles installed over them in the office.

School Parquet Floor Installation – Chivenor School, Castle Vale

A new parquet floor was required by Chivenor School in Castle Vale, Birmingham.

The existing floor was taken up, the existing screed sub-floor had a Bona R410 DPM applied and allowed to fully dry.  We then installed an oak 230 x 70mm parquet floor with a 2 block border to the hall.

Birmingham University – 90mm Solid Oak Prefinished flooring

A solid wood floor was required to be installed at Birmingham University.  The flooring that was chosen was a 90mm solid oak pre-finished board and this was installed over the existing wood floor.

Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham

The existing floor at Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham required restoration along with a full sand and reseal.  There were existing areas of block flooring to re-fix, allow for new floor boxes to be fitted along with gaps to be filled between the blocks.  The floor was then sanded back to the bare wood and sealed with one base coat of Junckers primer and 3 top coats of Junckers HP Commercial water based floor lacquer
